Searching the Light… Fotografie ist das Sehen und Nutzen des Lichts … und es immer gezielter einsetzen.

Vom 27. – 30. April habe ich im Workshop “‘Spot-On’ Light in the City” von Dominic Verhulst viel über Licht und Schatten, den entscheidenden Moment, das Sehen in Flächen, die Suche nach Motiven und ihre Komposition im Frame für meine Fotografie dazugelernt.

Wieder einmal zeigte sich, wie inspirierend nicht nur die Teilnahme an einem Workshop, sondern auch der Austausch mit den anderen Fotografen ist. Das Wetter hat zwar in diesen Tagen nicht wirklich mitgespielt (wieder einmal) … aber Schönwetterfotografie ist ja nun eh keine große Kunst…

Spot On wird mich als fotografische Challenge in den kommenden Wochen weiter beschäftigen… ebenso wie das Bemühen um Reduktion des Chaos im Bild. Denn: It’s all about composition…

Searching the Light… Photography is about seeing and using light… and using it more and more specifically.

From April 27th – 30th, in Dominic Verhulst’s workshop “‘Spot-On’ Light in the City” I learned a lot about light and shadow, the decisive moment, seeing in surfaces, the search for motifs and their composition in the frame learned my photography.

Once again it was shown how inspiring it is not only to take part in a workshop, but also to exchange ideas with other photographers. The weather hasn’t really cooperated these days (once again)… but good weather photography isn’t much of an art anyway…

Spot On will continue to occupy me as a photographic challenge in the coming weeks… as well as the effort to reduce the chaos in the image. Because: It’s all about composition…
