Unterwegs in Bahnhöfen
Streetfotografie in Berlin …
Warten… Warten… Eilen… Eilen…
Bahnhöfe sind Orte, natürlich… aber es sind besondere Orte… Zeiten, die Menschen in Bahnhöfen verbringen, sind Zwischenzeiten. Alle sind wir zwar hier, aber alle wollen wir ja gerade von hier weg. Möglichst “in time” und ohne langes Warten. (Und ja, manche halten sich auch in Bahnhöfen auf, solange die geöffnet sind… ein anderes Thema…)
Manche harren geduldig aus, manche sind gereizt. Irgendwie aber sind alle mit sich beschäftigt und in sich abgetaucht. Man ignoriert sich, soweit es geht. Und man nutzt das WLan in den Bahnhöfen… natürlich.
Eine Szenerie, wie für Streetfotografie gemacht. Wobei hinzukommt, dass die meisten Bahnhöfe in ihrer Architektur eine faszinierende – meist auch höchst attraktive (wenn denn hier und da marode, zumindest aber eine fotografisch interessante) Kulisse bieten.

Train stations are places, of course… but they are special places… Times that people spend in train stations are in-between times. We are all here, but we all want to get away from here. If possible, “in time” and without a long wait. (And yes, some people also stay in train stations as long as they are open… another topic…)
Some wait patiently, some are irritated. But somehow everyone is busy with themselves and immersed in themselves. You ignore yourself as much as possible. And you use the WiFi in the train stations… of course.
A scenery made for street photography. In addition, most of the train stations’ architecture offers a fascinating – usually extremely attractive (if dilapidated here and there, but at least a photographically interesting) backdrop.
